Australia negocia acuerdos de libre comercio para beneficiar a los exportadores, importadores, productores e inversores australianos al reducir y eliminar ciertas barreras al comercio y a la inversi\u00f3n extranjera.<\/p>\n<h2>TLC entre Australia y Chile<\/h2>\n<p>El Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Australia y Chile entr\u00f3 en vigor el 6 de marzo de 2009. Fue el quinto TLC de Australia y el primero con un pa\u00eds latinoamericano.<\/p>\n<p>El TLC abarca bienes, servicios e inversiones. A partir del 1\u00ba de enero de 2015, se eliminaron todos los aranceles, excepto el del az\u00facar, que mantiene un arancel del 6 por ciento para las exportaciones australianas debido al sistema de bandas de precios de Chile. Desde su entrada en vigor, se ha producido un aumento significativo de las empresas Australianas que operan en Chile, que ha superado mas de 200. Muchas de estas empresas han expandido sus negocios m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de Chile y en Am\u00e9rica Latina en general.<\/p>\n<h3>Principales intereses y beneficios<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Eliminaci\u00f3n de casi el 92 por ciento de las l\u00edneas arancelarias que cubren el 97 por ciento del comercio de mercanc\u00edas <strong>a la entrada en vigor.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Eliminaci\u00f3n de los <strong>aranceles<\/strong> aplicables a todo el comercio de mercanc\u00edas existente a partir del 1\u00ba de enero de 2015.<\/li>\n<li>Trato nacional para bienes, servicios y proveedores australianos en el mercado chileno para <strong>adquisiciones<\/strong> por encima de los umbrales de valor acordados.<\/li>\n<li>Asegura los servicios liberales y los reg\u00edmenes de inversi\u00f3n de ambas partes; <strong>servicios e inversiones<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Asegura los altos est\u00e1ndares de protecci\u00f3n de la <strong>propiedad intelectual<\/strong> de ambas partes para las patentes, las marcas, las indicaciones geogr\u00e1ficas y los derechos de autor (copyrights). Este acuerdo comercial proporciona a las empresas australianas una puerta de entrada a Am\u00e9rica Latina, fortaleciendo nuestras relaciones econ\u00f3micas dentro de la regi\u00f3n y ayudando a facilitar las cadenas de valor entre las Am\u00e9ricas y Asia.<\/p>\n<p>PAFTA permite a las empresas australianas aprovechar este mercado en crecimiento y fortalece nuestras relaciones econ\u00f3micas con Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n<p>Al eliminar ciertas barreras de comercio e inversi\u00f3n, el PAFTA facilita la realizaci\u00f3n de negocios entre los dos pa\u00edses. En el marco del PAFTA, los exportadores australianos al Per\u00fa obtienen nuevas oportunidades sustanciales de comercio e inversi\u00f3n. Por ejemplo, los productores australianos de carne de res, az\u00facar y l\u00e1cteos obtienen un acceso hist\u00f3rico al mercado peruano. <\/p>\n<p>PAFTA tambi\u00e9n proporciona a los proveedores de servicios australianos un entorno operativo m\u00e1s transparente y predecible en Per\u00fa y una plataforma para que ambos pa\u00edses aumenten el valor de nuestro comercio bilateral de servicios. Australia tiene una Embajada en la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9xico tiene una Embajada en Canberra y C\u00f3nsules Honorarios en Nueva Gales del Sur, Queensland, Victoria y Australia Occidental.<\/p>\n<p>Los v\u00ednculos entre personas entre Australia y M\u00e9xico tambi\u00e9n se est\u00e1n profundizando, con un gran n\u00famero de australianos que visitan M\u00e9xico y un n\u00famero cada vez mayor de estudiantes mexicanos que eligen estudiar en Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Australia est\u00e1 trabajando en estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n con M\u00e9xico en nuestros intereses compartidos en la lucha contra el tr\u00e1fico de estupefacientes a trav\u00e9s de la oficina de la Polic\u00eda Federal Australiana en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<h2>Relaciones exteriores<\/h2>\n<p>Australia y M\u00e9xico son miembros del G20, APEC, MIKTA, OCDE, OMC, ONU y organizaciones de la ONU.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9xico tiene 13 tratados de libre comercio que abarcan 50 pa\u00edses (y redes comerciales que abarcan el norte, sur, este y oeste), lo que la convierte en una de las redes de tratados de libre comercio m\u00e1s amplias del mundo.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9xico fue elegido como miembro no permanente del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU para 2021-22. M\u00e9xico tambi\u00e9n es miembro del Consejo de Derechos Humanos de la ONU y del Consejo Econ\u00f3mico y Social (ECOSOC) y ha sido reelegido para el Consejo Econ\u00f3mico y Social para el per\u00edodo 2021-2024.<\/p>\n<h3>Participaci\u00f3n clave<\/h3>\n<p>Importantes v\u00ednculos comerciales y de inversi\u00f3n en los \u00e1mbitos de la educaci\u00f3n y la investigaci\u00f3n, la alimentaci\u00f3n y la agroindustria, la financiaci\u00f3n de infraestructuras, la tecnolog\u00eda y los servicios mineros, y una estrecha cooperaci\u00f3n en los foros multilaterales.<\/p>\n<h3>Perspectivas<\/h3>\n<p>Se pronostica que M\u00e9xico estar\u00e1 entre las 15 principales econom\u00edas del mundo para 2030.
